What WELCA does...

Aside from our monthly Friendship Study Circles, WELCA organizes several fellowship events, suppers, and book discussions during the year.  (For our complete schedule of events please refer to the calendar page.)

BUT...we're so much more than just a bunch of women gathered in the kitchen!

WELCA members are a diverse group of mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters that have found a common purpose in serving our church and the causes that we have collectively deemed important.  WELCA members at Our Savior's have the opportunity to participate in a variety of outreach projects throughout the year.

Friendship and Study Groups for Women
(WELCA circles)

WELCA circles are more than just Bible studies.  They offer the opportunity to build friendships between women in an informal and supportive environment.  New members are always welcome!

Lutheran women have a long and rich history of studying God's word together. At each monthly circle meeting the studies we share are taken from the Lutheran Woman Today magazine.  

Lutheran Woman Today monthly Bible studies give women a way to dig deeper into Scripture, become more knowledgeable about Lutheran theology, grow in faith, and connect with other women. More than just Bible study, every issue contains articles that inform, challenge, provoke thoughts and conversation, offer comfort and encouragement, and help us to live out our faith in our communities and in the world.

Join a Circle!

There are several WELCA circles that meet monthly for study and fellowship.  Our newest WELCA Friendship Circle is the Elizabeth Circle. This group gets together
at the church on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:00 am. 

All women are invited to join us.  If you have never been to a Friendship Circle, or it has been a while since you have, then this circle is for you!  Take one morning a month for yourself to join with other women for fellowship and study.  Leave the kids home with Dad or bring them along if you need to.
